DonnyFL, Side Folders, and Other News

New Products

Howdy folks. It’s been a bit since I talked at y’all. I’m still at it and have a lot of good stuff in the works. First off, I’m happy to announce that we are now selling and shipping DonnyFL suppressor adapters. We currently have six models on offer, but will likely supply whatever folks are requesting. If you’re already here to buy a suppressor, you might as well get the adapter from the same place all in one go. Also, If you buy the suppressor and adapter together, you get a discount. If you buy the adapter alone, you don’t get a discount, but you get free shipping. If none of those things appeal to you then go right ahead and get them from Donny. They’re a great American company and you won’t regret it either way. This is more of a convenience to our customers. Here’s what we’re starting with: Akela/Kratos, Kral Puncher Breaker, Marauder Rifle, Armada, Fortitude, Marauder Pistol, Avenger/Origin, Gauntlet, and Beeman Underlever. I chose these, because we already sell a lot of direct fit suppressors for these airguns. I will likely be discontinuing much of our direct fit suppressors to make room for other products that I’m working on and free up printers to work on other things.

Beeman 2027 Side Folders

I’ve made some changes to our Beeman 2027 grip adapter to improve the fit and function of the Poor Man’s Side Folder on that platform. The rear pic rail has been moved further rearward so that you can turn the Side Folder upside-down, clear the bolt, and get the hinge pin off of your hand/wrist. I should have done this before, but it simply didn’t occur to me until we started getting some complaints. An advantage of getting the side folder over the fixed stock is the ability to make adjustments to the hammer spring on the fly. Just fold the stock over, make your adjustment, and fold it back. If you mount our Micro Red Dot on it you can co-witness with the tall front sight post. It helps a lot with accuracy and developing a consistent cheek weld. I’m having a lot of fun with this platform. As you can see below, we’ve also added an M-Lok Handguard option for the Beeman 2027.

Marauder Pistol Side Folder

I’ve made a similar change to the Benjamin Marauder Pistol adapter. I’ve extended it rearward to clear the bolt as well. You can see what I mean in the picture below:

Like I said, I should have done this originally, but I didn’t. Sorry about that. If you own one of these in the older model I’ll be happy to replace it. Just reach out to Chris and he’ll get you fixed up with a replacement. Just be patient with us while I try to print enough for everyone who takes me up on it!

Other Projects

A long time customer suggested that we offer a fixed minimalist stock for the 13XX. I have working prototypes for the Marauder Pistol, Crosman 13XX, 2240, Diana Airbug, Bandit, and Chaser, and have one in the works for the Beeman 2027. In order to get an adult LOP they need to be longer than most of my printers can print. The printers that I print the Stormrider and Avenger Handguards on are working 24/7 to keep up with Avenger kits. I’ll need to get more of those printers setup, which means I need more power, which means it may be a bit, but I’m on it and it’s going to happen. I’m thinking I’ll provide two different buttpads to suit different preferences. Below is the prototype for the PRod.

Tactical Conversion Kits

A lot. Too many to say. I’ll get myself in trouble if I told you all the airguns I’m planning on tackling. Just know that I’m working on it and there will be a lot of news to come on those.

Suppressors

As I said earlier, I’ll likely discontinue many of our direct fit suppressors, but I plan on replacing them with affordable options that can be manufactured more reliably. I have it mind to take the same approach I took with our Crosman 13XX suppressor. Very tough MJF Nylon adapters with a common full polymer suppressor. I would work with another manufacturer to make the many polymer adapters and I’ll just focus on the all polymer suppressor. I’m experimenting with Quick Disconnect threads and it’s looking very promising. None of these ideas are new, but there’s certainly nothing like it widely available on the market. I’ll be posting casual updates on Facebook and Instagram as I make progress on those.

That’s all I have for now folks. Thank you for your business and thank you for your support. I love what I do and will keep working hard at making great products at great prices for great customers!

Sincerely,

Terry Harman

Update on Diana Chaser, Bandit, & Airbug Kits

Upgraded Diana Stock Tubes

I forgot about these until they arrived on my doorstep! The Diana Chaser, Bandit, and Airbug Stock Tubes have been upgraded! There is now no sanding required. It is much like our 13XX and 2240 stock tubes with a machined steel adapter, steel bolt, and printed tube. I just threw the old ones out. All orders that are shipped from now on will be shipped with the new tubes.

I’m sorry about the poor quality video. I rushed it out so I could get these to you before I go back to work!

If you’d like to upgrade from the old stock tube use coupon code DIANAUPGRADE for a 50% discount. This is only going out to our subscribers and this just to cover our costs. The coupon code will expire on Saturday, 12/24/2022!

Thank you!

New Products for AV Avenger and Diana Airguns

New Products for AV Avenger and Diana Airguns

Okay, folks. I’m think thinking this will be it for a while. Avenger Tactical conversion kits are released. Here’s the video I recently made for installation. Please forgive me, but I had a little fun with the intro. The rest is the same ol’ dry instructional without any fluff:

I’ve also released the M-Lok Handguards for the Stormrider, Chaser, Bandit, and Airbug. No video for that as it installs just like the tri-rails. I personally prefer the M-Lok rails. They are more comfortable in the hand, look better(IMO), and provide for much more customization. The only downfall that I can think of is that it’ll cost you extra to add Pic rails, etc. Here’s my Stormrider with M-Lok Handguard installed.

We’ve gotten a lot of requests for side folders for the Stormrider and we’ve already gotten requests for side folders for the Avenger and bottle compatibility. I want to do it all. And I will try to do it all. In time… Bear with me, y’all!

I forgot to mention last time. I’m finally on social media, kind of. I don’t spend too much time there, but I will be posting small projects and pics on Instagram and Facebook occasionally. It’s easier for me to snap pics and give more casual updates on instagram and Facebook. If you want to follow along and/or show your support there you can follow the links below. If you feel so inclined leave Buck Rail a review on Facebook:

Thank you for your business and thank you for your support! It is not taken for granted!

Update: 12/05/2022

UNF Suppressors, Avengers, 13XX, M-Loks, and Babies…

Howdy folks. It’s been a little while. I’ve done a few things since last I typed at you and have many projects in the works. I’ll tell you all about it. But first, let me break some baddish news. I’m going back to work. I’m a Machinist/Designer at Jacobs Technology in support of the JSC Engineering Technology and Science contract. But I’m only a temp. They reach out when they have extra work and I have the time. They recently reached out for help on a cool project, but it would be full time until February or March 2023. It’s a really cool job, but I don’t have the time. And my wife will be due for baby number SIX in April. I always overwork when we’re about to have a baby. I think that’s normal… Right? So anyway, I said “Yes….”

What does this mean for Buck Rail, you ask? Buck Rail will keep truckin’. We’re full steam ahead. My brother, Danny will keep the printers running and shelves stocked, my sister, Julie, will keep fulfilling orders with blazing speed, and my friend, Chris, will continue to be available for anything customer service related. However, I’ll stop making new products for a bit. As much as I love it, that will have to wait until I finish things out with Jacobs next year. Then we’ll see what happens with a brand new baby.

I have been busy designing new products. I will work at releasing them little by little in the coming weeks. I’ve already released two today.

UNF Suppressors

The first is a new option for our UNF suppressors. You can now choose a larger diameter 177/22 or 25 cal suppressor without the taper. Nothing special, but this has been a frequent request from our customers. It is the same diameter and length as our 30 cal suppressor.

1377/1322 Extended Barrel Bands

Another product that I’ve made for a while, but never sold is an extended barrel band for the Crosman 1377 and 1322. Quite a few customers have asked for this and I have sent them here and there without ever listing them. I never felt to good about selling them because they were so easy to break during installation. It never occurred to me until recently to have another company make it stronger with state-of-the-art technology that I don’t currently, otherwise, have access to. Enter Multi Jet Fusion. It’s as cool as it sounds. I’m not going to explain it here. You can google it. That’s how these are made. Made in Idaho, USA from tough Nylon PA12 via Multi Jet Fusion. The same material and process that is used to make our 13XX suppressor adapter. We only have 20 in stock, but we have more on order. Check out the Barrel Band here: https://buck-rail.com/product/1377-1322-extended-barrel-band/

Avenger Tactical Conversion

I have other items that have been designed and tested, but I’m working on getting enough printed to release them. One that has been in the works for a while is the Air Venturi Avenger Tactical Conversion. I’m sorry it’s taken so long, but I’m finally done with the design. Just need to dial in the prints and get a few parts in. Coming soon…

M-Lok Handguards

I’ve gotten a lot of requests for adding M-Lok slots to forearms, rails, etc. I was hesitant only because I didn’t expect 3d printed M-Lok slots to hold up under load. But I’ve done some testing and the results are fantastic. I want to put M-Loks on everything now. It allows for so much more customization, provides for a more comfortable handhold, and they look slick! Check out these prototypes for the Stormrider, Chaser, Bandit etc.

A few more noteworthy points. We will be in a feature article in Airgun World Magazine soon for our Beeman 2027 Tactical Conversion kit. Pretty cool. Keep a lookout for that. Also, we fulfilled 95 orders today! I never imagined that we would be at this point when I started all this. Especially all out of our little house and garage! I know, Lord willing, we have much more growing to do yet. Thank you for your support and thank you for your business! I don’t take it for granted. Until next time, we’ll be working hard to provide great airgun products at great prices.

New Product Release 11/11/2022

New Product Release!

Hey folks. I’m still here…

A lot has been happening behind the scenes at Buck Rail. We moved out the old print shed to make room for a bigger better one. We overhauled our manufacturing and fulfillment process. Improved the design of a lot of our parts. Crashed the website a couple of times. Fixed the website and improved the backend. And biggest of all, my big brother and big sister came to work with us. That means there are four of us in total now. I’d like to introduce you all to them soon.

I haven’t had much time to design new products, but this one has been done and was waiting for me to take pics, video, write stuff, etc. So without further ado, meet the one and only (that I know of) Diana Bandit, Chaser, and Airbug Side Folder.

It was a bit tricky to get the Rear Pic tight, but it ended up being a simple solution. I made a simple install video that you can check out below:

If the embed doesn’t show up properly, just follow this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APlJgTFLobY

Check out the product page here: https://buck-rail.com/product/diana-bandit-chaser-airbug-side-folder/

And last, but not least. Happy Veterans Day! This is a veteran-owned company with many veteran customers. It’s been awesome to have so much support from fellow vets, even if they are from lesser branches… All jokes aside, thank you very much for your support and thank you all for your service to our STILL great country. God bless you, God bless America, and God bless Texas.

Thank y’all!

Crosman ICON Tactical Conversion Kits

New Product Release

Just a quick update. The Crosman ICON Tactical Conversion Kits are now listed. I promised they’d be up by the end of the week. They are up, but probably won’t stay in stock for long. That’s because I only have 4 complete sets in stock. I have more printing and will have them put together and back in stock quickly.

The ICON Barrel Bands will be released sometime next week. After that I’m going to take a little break from designing for a bit. Orders will still be fulfilled and customer service will still be open. I’ll just take a step back and be quiet for at least a couple of weeks before I get back to cranking out new products.

Thank you for your business, thank you for your support, and thank you for the opportunity to serve you!

Benjamin P-Rod Side Folders Are Here

Benjamin P-Rod Side Folders Are Here

I’ve just listed the Rear Pic Rails for the Benjamin Marauder Pistol. It’s just a pic rail and a screw, nothing special, but it hasn’t been done as far as I know. Since I don’t have to have a metal adapter machined the price is low as well. You can now easily and cheaply mount a side folding stock on the Benjamin Marauder Pistol with this adapter and the Poor Man’s Side folder (or another 1913 Picatinny Side Folder). Here’s a look at the P-Rod with the Side Folder Installed and closed:

Check out the product listing here: https://buck-rail.com/product/benjamin-marauder-pistol-side-folder/

I should have the Crosman ICON kits listed by the end of the week! Happy Labor Day y’all!

Crosman Side Folders

New Product Update 9/1/2022

Just a quick update on the Poor Man’s Side Folders. I’ve released the rear-facing picatinny adapters for mounting the side folders on the Crosman 13XX, 2240, etc.

If that’s all you need to know you can check those out here: https://buck-rail.com/product/1377-1322-2240-side-folder/

Poor Man’s Side Folder

I never announced it, but I’ve also added a cheaper minimalist fixed-LOP option. There was something wrong with “The Poor Man’s Side Folder” costing $80 (Still way cheaper than any option I currently know of). Just to ensure that it lives up to it’s name I added a cheaper option that turned out pretty slick. You now have the option to choose from adjustable side folding stock or fixed side folder.

You can see that mounted on the 2289 in my latest instructional video posted on the YouTube.

Rear Pic Adapter Plans

So far, I’ve made the side folder compatible with the Hatsan Sortie, Beeman 2027, and now the Crosman 13XX, 2240, etc. I’ve also completed a design for the DIANA BANDIT, CHASER, AND AIRBUG. It should be a couple of weeks before I get the aluminum parts for those, but I will release the adapters as soon as I get that in. I have some things to work out for the MARAUDER PISTOL adapter, but I should have that ready next. Fortunately it doesn’t need any machined parts, so I’ll be able to get that to market faster. Here’s a P-Rod preview:

P-Rod with Side Folder, Forearm, Grips, Suppressor, and AOEG Scope.

Crosman ICON Tactical Conversion

These are done. I just need to take pictures, make install video, edit, and list them. The Beeman 2027 and Crosman ICON are very similar. The Grip Adapter and Stuck Tube are almost identical, but for a few minor differences. The kit uses the barrel band as a mounting point for the forearm. There will only be one forearm option on this one. I’ll also add a couple of barrel bands to the mix. Here’ a preview of how that turned out:

ICON with tactical Conversion Kit, Barrel Band, UNF Suppressor, and AOEG Scope

What’s Next?

Some of you may remember that I was testing a direct fit suppressor for the AEA HP SS Max a while back. We’ve had a lot of inquireies since then for the AEA airguns and other big bores. I ended up not selling it because the threads were too fine and were easily cross-threaded during installation. I decided against the direct fit route and went with a threaded adapter from DFL and a suppressor with metal threads from yours truly. I’ve worked up the suppressors in M18X1 for .357 and .457. I’ve tested them on a couple of 357 AEA’s and the Air Force Texan 457. I need to do more extensive testing, but they seem to hold up well, they definitely work well, and look slick. Whether or not I release them after all this will depend on how busy we are and if testing goes okay. If none of this stuff sells well I’ll probably put those out there too and then take a break from designing new stuff for a while. Check ’em out!

Stay tuned! Thank you for your business, thank you for your support, and thank you for the opportunity to serve you! We’re working hard at cranking out great products at great prices!

Diana Stormrider Tactical Conversions

Here it is folks. The Diana Stormrider Tactical Conversion Kit. Check it out HERE

Gen 2 Stormrider with Tri-Rail and Minimalist Adjustable Stock
Gen 1 Stormrider with Traditional Forearm, Diana Barrel Band, and Standard Buttstock

If the video does show up properly you can follow this link to watch it on the YouTube: Diana Stormrider Tactical Conversion

I apologize for the brief post folks. I’m working hard to keep up while still cranking out new products. These take a long time to print. If they go out of stock it should only be a day or so before I have more on the shelf! Next will be the ICON Tactical Conversion Kit. Stay tuned for that!

Thank you for your support and thank you for the opportunity to serve you!

Poor Man’s Side Folders

The Poor Man’s Side Folder is Here

I’ve just listed the Poor Man’s Side Folders! They work great, they look good, and they’re cheap. Here it is on the Hatsan Sortie.

Stay tuned for an even cheaper fixed length buttstock option. Also to come; side folder adapters for the Crosman 1377/1322 and 2240.

The Side Folder product page can be found here: https://buck-rail.com/product/the-poor-mans-side-folder/

In the video below I demonstrate the installation of the side folder on the Hatsan Sortie and open and closed one a thousand times with very little wear. I also mention a few things about using the side folder on the Beeman 2027.

Beeman 2027 Side Folder Lower

I’ve also added a new option to the Beeman 2027 tactical conversion kit. You can now choose from the standard lower or from a lower with a rear facing pic rail for side folder compatibility. One advantage of using the Poor Man’s Side Folder on the Beeman 2027 is that you will still have access to the hammer spring adjustment. Just fold the stock over and you now have access the the adjustment screw.

The hole just about the pic rail slot aligns with the power adjustment screw.

The new Red Dots make for a good combo with this kit as well. I know it looks like the magazine blocks the sight picture, but it doesn’t show in the glass at all.

Milspec A2 Grips

Some other news; I’ve switched suppliers for the Milspec A2 grips. I’ve found another American manufacturer who makes a better grip with a much cleaner fit and finish. All of our conversion kits will now include these new grips.

Thank You

We’re almost at 1000 subscribers to this blog. I haven’t paid too much attention to that sort of thing, but it just hit me that this blog post will go out to 938 people. That’s pretty great and very encouraging. It’s also pretty frightening and very humbling. Thank you for your support, thank you for your business, and thank you for the opportunity to serve you!

Next up should be Stormrider Conversion Kits if all goes according to plan!

Thanks for lookin’ y’all!
