Benjamin Akela Tri-Rail Barrel Band

Description

This rail clamps to your Benjamin Akela air tube to securely add three 3 inch picatinny style rails. One on the bottom and one on each side. This will allow you to mount a bipod, laser, flashlight, camera, bayonet, grenade launcher, and probably still have room to mount a cup holder or two! The slots in the rails are 20mm apart. If you have an accessory that uses two slots and the distance between the two is not a multiple of 20 you will need to file a slot to mount that accessory.

It is 3d printed in ABS plastic in the US by a veteran-owned business. We use two black steel socket head cap screws and nuts to clamp the whole getup to the Akela air tube (please note that we no longer use stainless screws as they are not ideal for this application). Some folks may need to do some light sanding to get it to slip over their Akela air tube. Most will not. If you’re not comfortable with that possibility, I wont judge you, but please do not order.

    It looks great. My only small concern is that when you try to slot over the shroud, you have to lift the shroud slightly so it's no longer sitting in it's natural position and therefore need to zero the rifle again. I would be interested to know if anyone else found this, or maybe I am not fitting correctly, or the mount isn't quite right.

    I was skeptical because of a $22 price, well worth the money. Great fit and allows a bipod in a more correct place forward on the gun. I can't say it improved accuracy because after installation my Akela still shoots spot on. I can say it will not hinder accuracy. My true intention for the purchase is because I strap the Akela to my 4-wheeler rear cargo bag, and I wanted the barrel protected. This makes the barrel rock solid, no more worries about the barrel. Veteran owned and made, Semper Fi brother.

    If you have an Akela and want to make it into a weapon. Yes, I said “a weapon”. You need these buck-rail accessories. My rifle is outfitted with an Eotech, 3x flip up magnifier, and flashlight. It is used to eliminate invasive species and nuisance wildlife in the Florida Keys. It’s accuracy, versatility, ruggedness, and noise level control are now where it needs to be. Without these accessories, pellet wandering is an issue with the flex in the rail and barrel. This manufacturer design flaw limits the rifles use in suburban areas. All corrected with these parts.

    Lack of a barrel band in the production design was a definite oversight on the part of Benjamin. When 1st bought the Akela in Nov 2020, I could not find anything aftermarket so I designed my own and had a 3rd party print it which was functional but inferior in every meaningful way to this item. Solid build, easy install and really enhances the appearance.

    This Akela Tri-Rail works great, looks great, and installed in under a minute. But far more importantly, it has definately increased the accuracy of the Akela, due to it stabilizing the Akela's floating barrel and shroud. As you can see in my photo, I also have the Buck-Rail Akela Suppressor (Terry's older version), and the Buck-Rail Akela Scope Rail Support. With so many Buck-Rail parts now on my Akela, I’m now calling it my “Benjamin Buck-Rail” Akela.
