New Products and New Projects!

Just a quick update. I’ve just listed a couple of new products and have some project updates. Let me tell you about it.

Black Arts Design

We’re now offering Air Venturi Avenger Barrel bands from Black Arts Design. Gauge covers will be listed soon as well. David is a 3d printing wizard and his designs are top notch. I 3d print aerospace parts professionally with machines that cost over $400k and can tell you confidently that these are the smoothest FDM printed parts I’ve ever seen. Check those out here: B.A.D. Avenger Barrel Bands

M14x1.25 Suppressors

I’ve made quite a few of these suppressors for customers here and there when I have time for custom work. I figured I might as well just list them. I personally don’t have any airguns that use this thread pattern, but I’ve had customers use these on the AGN Uragan 2 and other high end PCPs. I have a bunch of .122/.22 caliber and a few .30 calibers. .25 cals are coming soon as well. Check those out here: M14X1.25 Suppressors

Crosman and Benjamin Airguns

Buck Rail has recently become an authorized repair center for many Crosman and Benjamin Airguns. This is great news for a few reasons. The obvious one is that Buck Rail will be able to do warranty work on your Crosman and Benjamin airguns. This also means we’ll be able to offer Crosman parts for the 2240 and 13XX including barrels, steel breeches, etc. along with the aftermarket parts we already offer and with Buck Rail service. The part that I’m most excited about though… This means the Benjamin P-Rod tactical conversion kit is happening soon. The kit requires that you remove the grip frame and trigger group and replace it with the very crisp trigger found on the Benjamin Marauder. Here’s a few previews from when I was prototyping that kit.

Seneca Big Bores

I’ve been working to develop a solid tactical conversion kit for the Seneca Dragon Claw and Recluse. Whether or not the kits will be sold alone or by Buck Rail is yet to be determined. I won’t be manufacturing the parts, as I’m at max capacity. It will likely end up being sold by CAP Arms on their CAP Dragons, but I thought y’all might like to see how that’s coming along.

Umarex Notos and Artemis PP750

I’ve just started working on a kit that will be compatible with the Umarex Notos and Artemis PP750. I’m taking a little different approach with these. It will be compatible with Milspec buffer tubes and AK side folders like the Seneca kit above. Now that we are reselling for Leapers we can make that more affordable to our customers. The price will likely be close to our other kits, but it will have a metal tube and side folder. Check it out! This is the first prototype.

Do you like the grip? Me too. I liked them so much that I reached out to Ergo Air to become a reseller so that we can offer them to our customers as well. They will likely be an upgrade option on some of our tactical kits and will be sold individually as well. Stay tuned for that!

That’s all I’ve got for now. Thank you for your business and thank you for your support! It’s not taken for granted and I’m working hard to earn it.

Sincerely,

Terry Harman

P.S. The 13XX, Underlever, and Avenger UNI adapters are all on order and only a couple weeks out!

  1. Sounds great! Glad to hear you’re on board with mag holders and have given it thought (Pic vs MLok). Looking forward to these as well!

I didn’t mean for you to make mags but for you to make a picatinny (or MLok) magazine holder for the oversized CARM mags since that’s what a lot of guys are running in the Notos, those 12 shot CARM mags.

  2. You take the phrase “kill 2 birds with one stone” to a whole new level, Terry!

I understand and appreciate why you chose the path you did. I think it will work out once we see the final product with the cheek riser on there.

Will there be a left or right fold choice since you want it to be compatible with the PP750, too?

Also, did you see my paragraph further down on the magazine holder idea? You might be able to integrate the holder into a tac stock you design if you don’t want it to be separate but you could still make a sale if it’s a separate picatinny mounted item. Plus then it is smaller and faster to print.

  3. I agree with Justin A for Notos stock. This was the only negative feedback when I showed your stock announcement on AGN. Please make the side folding stock in line like the OEM stock, if you make it a drop stock you will be asking a lot of people to change their optic/sighting setup and the oversized CARM mags are used by basically everyone with a Notos. I can’t go any lower with my scope right now. And people running AR sights won’t be able to use them. They make picatinny risers but not lowerers lol
The Notos is supposed to be light weight and if it is a drop stock then we may have to get a height adjustable comb stock which adds weight.

In looking at the photo I bet you may have done the drop stock to be able to avoid the cocking lever and fold the stock and have access to the hammer spring adjustment (innovatively accessible like on your Avenger tac stock!) but I don’t see many people adjusting that setting often- the Notos shoots great as is.

Also if you make it in line there will be more material wrapping around the receiver making it stronger, plus if it is higher up then when it is folded the stock will be more out of the way so you can grip the gun handle and the stock wont hit your wrist much and you could shoot the Notos when folded. Since the cocking lever is on the left for Notos, I’m assuming you’re making the stock fold to the right, correct?

In addition I think you’ll sell out of picatinny rails for the Notos once you put those up for sale, you should make them full length and just clamp on with some screws. I dont know about a tri rail because again Notos is supposed to be light weight. Lots of people want to run a bipod or laser/flashlight etc down below so full length would make it possible to do both.

Lastly, have you ever considered making magazine holders? You make a picatinny piece that does a 90 degree down left/right of the rail and on the down part you make a cylinder that sticks out to the side with no lid that is only top/bottom-with a cut in the diameter with little angled overhangs in the ID at the top so you press the magazine and it flexes the 2 halves and mag snaps in and holds with the angled pieces. This was offered by someone on ebay for my Avenger and that one has 2 mag holders (left/right of gun). You wouldn’t need to do 2 necessarily but at least for the Notos it’d be great if you could do a one mag holder because the Notos only shoots like 21-28 shots per fill anyway so you could have all ammo on board that your gun can shoot.

If you can do that for OEM magazines it’d be cool if you could also make the expanded capacity CARM mag holder too, probably just make bigger diameter cylinder and there ya go. Again I think almost everyone has the CARM magazine for Notos so I bet you’d sell CARM mag holders well.

Plus you could make these mag holders for every gun with a pic rail and a magazine. New category for your website!

Corner the market on all this, Buck Rail your stuff is top notch!

    1. Hey. Thank you very much for the kind words! I responded to Justin below, but I’ll go ahead and paste that here as well.

I have a few good reasons for dropping the tube. Some of them are design related like the screw that secures the back of the grip adapter that is tucked away inside the stock tube feature. Also, the higher I make the tube the more material that needs to be cut away for the lever. I want this kit to be compatible with the Notos AND the PP750. One has the lever on the left and the other on the right. The lever cut out needs to go through both sides. If I make it much higher the lever cutout would significantly weaken the adapter. I could probably make it work, but here is why I’m not going to. 1. I’ll be selling this kit with Magpul buttstocks. You can easily add a cheek rest to these stocks to raise the drop. They are fairly cheap 2. The iron sights for this airgun from UMX are not compatible with the carbine stock. I’d like for the drop to be low enough to use the iron sights. My current design is compatible with the UMX iron sights. 3. I’m going to have these MJF printed in Nylon. One day I’ll have my own machine, but for now it is very expensive to have someone else do it. If I’m going to make this affordable it has to be slim. All the workarounds require a significant increase in volume and therefore cost without providing much value, in my opinion.

      1. Thank you Tim. I am on board with the mag holder idea. I’m going to start with the Diana airguns. I have the prototypes on order for those. Next will be the Marauder Pistol. Then I can take a shot at the Notos. The Diana and Marauder Pistol holders will install on an MLok rail. They are very slim and look like part of the airgun. I have some Pic mounting designs, but they are bulky and in need of some serious refinement.

Since there are already so many folks making mags I’ll probably stay out of the mag business unless I have an especially unique or innovative idea at some point.

  4. Can you make the tube of the Notos more in line with the gun, and not a drop? With that setup it looks like I’ll have to get lower rings, but then that will mean my large capacity CARM mags won’t fit if the scope is lower

  5. What’s the shots per count before per fill on NOTOS and Beeman 2027 and p rod?

  6. I’d definitely want a p rod as my second if possible I like the reputation it has just like my 22xx love to be able to self service and upgrade it as I want! Just don’t know where I can get one at a reasonable price and I definitely like Crosman brands more,

    1. I plan to sell them with kits preinstalled eventually. That will help keep the price down some. That will be a while though.

  7. In reality the NOTOS should have a rear ward pic rail!

    1. I’m really trying to make the rear pic rail a thing. Wes Bashforth has a rear pic option for the Notos/PP750 here: https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/pp750-tactical-kit-new-rear-picatinny-side-folder-design/

  8. I have a Notos and I just knew you ‘d be doing this for them I’m in process putting .3lt bottle and 2200 reg on mine so your folder will be awesome

  9. Same! I could picture off set AR15 Mlok iron sights or a 45 Degree laser/light module! Oh in your honest opinion what pcp pistol would you recommend either NOTOS/Prod or Diana bandit?

    1. That’s such a hard question to answer. I personally prefer the PRod. But a lot of it comes down to the things that are valuable to me. The PRod has pedigree, a ton of resources out there for tinkering and repairing, etc., a ton of aftermarket mods, and it is an absolute tack driver. The Notos has the most features right out of the box though. So if you’re just going to buy the airgun and not do anything to it or do very little I’d say the Notos. It is regulated, suppressed, accurate, smooth side lever, the stock is better than the others, pic rail backbone, decent mags, adjustable hammer spring preload, good shot capacity….

But the PRod is my personal favorite, lol! I like to customize my airguns and nothing else comes close in that price range for micro carbines. There are whole business built around the 13XX, 2240, and PRod.

  10. True been thinking of the NOTOS but definitely would want to go with the marauder if people recommend it enough for me want to do a Mlok build.

    1. The NOTOS is sweet, especially for the price. But the P-Rod is king. Especially if you like modding.

  11. So will the NOTOS get a Mlok or tri rail adapter even for the Standard notos package with out your AR-15 grip? I am really considering the notos or marauder pistol for my second PCP.

    1. I would prefer mlok, but I’m thinking it will need to be picatinny for strength since the top of the tube is obstructed.

  12. I like the Notos folder quite a bit. Been waiting for this. Not sure exactly what will be in the kit but will be watching.
Also what is also I really would like to get an adaptor to mount a bipod to the notos. Any word on that one?

    thanks
    Gary

    1. Thank you Gary. There will be a clamping accessory rail option as well. I will update here as soon as they’re ready.

  13. I like the new kit for the PP750. Let me know when it is available for sale. would like to buy one.

    1. Thank you. Will do!

  14. You and your team are just awesome. Nice to know products and service like yours is already up and running.
Congrats on your Crosman Benjamin deal. Great things.

    1. Thank you very much Thomas!

  15. Was wondering if you might offer Crosman 362 butt stock extension of maybe 2 inches so it would fit grown ups better

    1. That’s a great idea. Very doable. It is now on my list.

  16. looks good

    1. Thank you, Sir!

  17. Still need a adapter and moderator for the Daisy Powerline 35

  18. Terry, I love all the buckrail stuff I have. My avenger is 1000 times better now. Do you think you could come up with a barrel band with a fiber optic sight, and a picatiny rail mount adjustable rear sight for the avenger? I think every rifle should have iron sight capability.thanks.

    1. John, thank you very much for your business and support. I did come up with a couple of options tor the Avenger and Origin. It’s a barrel band with a top pic rail for mounting flip-up adjustable sights like this: UTG AR15 Flip Up Sight Would you be interested in something like that?

Tell us what you think!
