The Umarex Notos is arguably the best value micro-carbine currently on the US market. I know there are a lot of folks out there who would like to make it their own. The AR platform has a huge ecosystem of parts on the market and this kit was developed to take advantage of that while meeting the demand for aftermarket parts. This listing is for the Grip adapter and handguard only. We also sell all the other parts needed to complete the build, or you can bring your own. The other parts are listed below.
The handguard is 3d printed in ASA at my home in Texas, USA. It is compatible with the OEM Notos stock. There are MLok slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o clock positions. It works great for mounting a bipod or flashlight, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a laser. There’s just enough flex in it that it will likely throw off your zero. I’ve put together a compatible pic rail kit that can be viewed here: Picatinny Accessory Rail Kit
The grip adapter is made in Texas, USA from commercial-grade PA12 Fused Nylon. It allows for the use of AR style grips without a beavertail (you can use beavertail grips, but you would need to modify to fit). There are three choices for grips in this kit. Choose from either black or FDE Magpul MOE-K grips or choose the basic black Milspec A2 grip. All of these are made in the USA. If you need a grip for large hands you may need to add an aftermarket grip from a company like ErgoAIR. I plan on adding them to our selection as well, eventually. For now, you’ll need to get them elsewhere.
Another feature of the grip adapter is the standard thread pattern for AR/M4 buffer tubes and accessories. The OEM stock has a non-standard thread. You will not be able to use the OEM stock tube with this adapter. Ours is 1-3/16×16 in order to accept MILSPEC AR15 and AR308 extension tubes. Also, the OEM stock does not allow for the use of iron sights. This adapter drops the stock low enough that you can actually use the factory irons.
It will also accept the aluminum side folder from Leapers that is shown in the pictures. I highly recommend the side folder and AR15 extension tube combo. If you don’t get the side folder I recommend the AR308 extension tube. It is 1″ longer and will likely provide a more comfortable LOP. You will need to purchase a castle nut separately if you want to attach the extension tube directly to the grip adapter (no side folder). If you purchase the side folder you will not need to purchase a castle nut as it comes with one.
If you want to use an optic with medium to high rings I recommend getting the cheek riser and Magpul buttstock. If you bring your own buttstock you might want to ensure that there is an adjustable cheek rest or optional riser.
The weight of the airgun with the side folder, AR15 tube, MOE Buttstock, and handguard is the same as the OEM stock. The Riser adds about 3 ounces.
Here are the other parts you’ll need to complete the set, as pictured:
UTG Side Folder
UTG Extension Tube
Magpul MOE Buttstock
Magpul Cheek Riser
If you want don’t want to purchase the side folder you’ll need to purchase a castle nut as well:

I ordered the Handguard in FDE for my Notos. I had an issue and reached out to Chris, who again was quick to respond and remedy the issue. You guys make some ingenious stuff and look forward to making future purchases.
Allowed me to mount a bipod
Like everything else they produce a quality is quite evident in each and every part of it and I would and that if you're watching his video on his website on how to install everything pay extra close attention to the small spring he refers to and also the square nut. I am not mechanically inclined but I was able to do this without very much difficulty and I recommend it for Notos owners. I'm a service connected disabled war veteran and Buck Rail gives a military discount. I Made a very short video showing it from a few angles but this website doesn't let me upload a file that large so I suggest if you want to see it go look on the Notos forums on Facebook.
