Description

Floating barrels aren’t always bad… But on the Air Venturi Avenger it is. A frequent request has been that we make a barrel band to tie the shroud to the air tube. Here it is. I hope I’ve done it justice. Compatible with rifle and bullpup.

 

This barrel band is 3d printed in ABS plastic in the USA by a veteran-owned business. The band slips on and is clamped to the air tube with two socket head cap screws and nuts. There are two options to choose from. One includes a single accessory rail on the bottom and the other is a Tri-Rail with one on each side and one on the bottom. There may be some slight sanding required to get it to slip over your air tube and shroud.

    Great addition to the gun, really helps keep the barrel shroud secure and helps minimize movement causing poi shift.

    My Avenger was gifted to me it had a band of another mfg , they use plastic ( nylon ?) set screws which stripped out trying to get the band tight enough not to wobble with a bipod attached. Have a few Buck Rail items and this piece like they are of high quality and certainly budget friendly. Five stars.

    I bought two of the tri-rail barrel bands. It was an afterthought buying the second one. It went to a 22 caliber Avenger the first one went to a 25 cal. Avenger. I wanted the stability and they accomplished the mission. Now I am looking for lights etc. to fill up those additional picatinny rails. It is great having that option.

    Based on other reviews as my rifle was backordered, however I felt the need for more support on the air tube, it would been even greater if it didn't have the rail on it but should be a option for those who likes rails, just my thoughts. Still Buck Rail is a great manafacture of products.

    I purchased an Air Venturi Avenger a few weeks ago from Pyramyd Air in refurbished condition knowing I needed a barrel band I ordered it along with the Buck-Rail suppressor for the Avenger and both are inexpensive and work perfectly with my new gun. The nice thing about the barrel band is that it didn't change the point of impact after the installation, my gun remained zeroed!

    To start with, I ordered a suppressor and 2 barrel bands for my Avenger. One band was for my friends rifle. Well one of the bands didn’t make the trip to my house, emailed them and in 3 days it was here. No hassle, no problems. The band was a little to snug, so I worked on it a bit with some 1000 grit wet/dry, probably would have been a lot quicker with something less fine, but I didn’t want to take to much material. Rock solid. I shot a T post off hand at 25-30 yds after installing so I’ll be interested to see how my groups from the bench are. Customer service is excellent.

    Beautiful idea and quality workmanship but I could not get it to work for me on my Avenger .22 It did not seem to matter what position I had it on the barrel or how much tension was on the screw, The point of impact dropped so low that I could not adjust the scope enough to compensate. I fiddled with it for a hour and gave up.

    I thought I had seen every Avenger barrel band out there, and to me all of them are an eye sore, chunky clunky bulky and awkward looking, none of them looked good enough to put on my gun and I couldn't bring myself to buy any of them. So I was really happy when I found the Buck Rail Barrel band, even happier when I received it and saw how nice it looked. This is elegant looking with it's graceful lines and clean looks, and a size that is not out of proportion to the gun or the job it does, it doesn't detract or distract from the lines of the Avenger. And the band is a perfect complement to my Buck Rail Moderator, a huge plus!

    And speaking of the job it does, it has tightened my groups and eliminated the POI shift when the gun is exposed to large temperature changes.

    When I got it I couldn't get it to slide over the barrel and I didn't want to break out a hammer, so I called Chris for support and he was very quick to respond and very helpful. On his recommendation I ended up sanding the inside a little at a time with fine wet/dry wrapped around my finger until the fit was perfectly snug, then tightened the screws to lock it down securely. In reality I'm glad it needed to be dialed in for a perfect fit, better than having even the slightest amount of slop. I am extremely happy with the band, its looks, its function, and its fit. And I'm extremely happy with the customer support. Looking forward to more great products.

    Purchased the Avenger barrel band based upon my previous experiences with Buck-Rail products. All have been excellent performers at probably the best price. I have 4 or 5 of their moderators and they are great. The barrel band was purchased more as a precaution than a need - it seems to be well designed, well made and sturdy. Keep up the good work.

    The Avenger was missing something really important; and here it is! And, when coupled with the Buck Rail tactical stock platform, this Barrel Band really shines. Now the barrel is stable and true without any wobble. Also tames the harmonics and static pressure levels.     I have one of these on my regular Air Venturi Avenger .25, my Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup .25, my Umarex Origin .22, and my Umarex Origin .25 caliber too. Yes, they also fit the Umarex Origin perfectly as well as the Air Venturi Avengers. And they're great because I mount TAC flashlights on most all my PCP's because we have real problems here with opposum, coon, and skunks raiding our trash bags set out the night before trash pick up days. Lights are mounted right underneath and right in line with the barrel and light up the target area perfectly. Plus the price is great for such an awesome accessory. A+++ Photo also shows the awesome Buck Rail .30 caliber suppressor on my Air Venturi Avenger as well.
